Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support

The loss of a pregnancy at any stage or the loss of a new baby can be one of the most challenges experiences a family can ever endure. You don’t have to do so alone.

Birth Doula Support

Sometimes, we know in advance of the birth that our baby has died or will not survive. The idea of going through labour and birth without the happy outcome of bringing your baby home can feel impossible. We believe that your birth matters and that you deserve to be seen and supported regardless of the outcome. We provide labour and birthing support to families anticipating a loss so that you don’t have to do it alone. This service is provided free of charge to families in Calgary starting in January 2025.

Emotional Support

Losing a child can feel very lonely. It can feel hard to express your grief, your feelings, and your worries to loved ones who are also hurting with you. Having someone outside of your regular life to talk to can help. Whatever you are feeling is okay with us.

Dozens of candles float upon the water in a dark location, commemorating the life of a child gone too soon.

Making Memories

Regardless of what happens in the days and weeks after your loss, you will always remember your baby. Sometimes, families will hold a funeral for their baby, but there are also other ways to commemorate your baby’s life and to remember your time together. We can help you choose rituals or other activities to help you honour your baby’s life. However big or small, these practices affirm that your baby matters and that we will remember them.
