My name is Brooke (she/her) and I am the doula behind Beltane Birth Doula Services.

Supporting families through their fertility journeys, births, and early postpartum days is my dream job. As the eldest of four daughters with a mother who ran a successful day home for many years, I grew up surrounded by all things baby and was old enough to remember welcoming each of my siblings into the world.

Though I only officially started my doula career in 2024, I’ve been serving families in a professional capacity since 2010! I began as a neonatal intensive care (NICU) and pediatrics nurse in Alberta, helping sick kids to get better and supporting families to make the all-important transition home. I also obtained a degree in social work and a graduate degree in sociology, focusing on how we can use research to inform sensitive, compassionate, and social justice-focused care. Working as a doula allows me to bring my very favourite pieces of those roles together into something special and unique. Every story I get to be a part of is something I am deeply grateful for, and there’s no greater satisfaction than knowing you’ve supported someone through some of life’s most sacred moments.

I am currently certifying as a fertility support practitioner, birth doula, and postpartum doula through Doula Training Canada. As a result, I have done all my training and am now gaining additional practical experience by working hands-on with clients. I am also passionate about continued and life-long education and am always taking workshops, listening to podcasts, and digging into the research so that I can bring you the best quality care possible.
